Welcome To Color Guard
What is the Difference between Fall and Winter Guard?
Fall color guard performs outside with the Marching Band during halftime at football games and various competitions against other Marching Bands. Winter guard teams perform inside, in a gym, on a tarp, against other winter guard teams.

Meet Your Color Guard Instructors
Kassie Pierson - Director
I currently work as a part time Administrative Assistant for a Commercial Real Estate Company, as well as being a full time student currently enrolled at Elmhurst University. I started my time as a color guard performer when I was in junior high by participating in the Carl Sandburg junior high night performance. I continued color guard all the way through high school and ended up being a part of the Andrew Winter Guard team in my senior year of high school. In 2018, once I had graduated I was asked to join the staff as a tech, in 2020 I was asked to take over the director position. Now I share my love for color guard with others!
Krista Perez - Weapon Tech / Choreographer
Krista Perez currently works at Ann & Roberts Children’s Hospital in Chicago as a Recreation Therapist. She continues to positively impact the lives of her students and shares a passion for the Colorguard activity. Krista began as a performer with her Alma Mater, Marian Catholic, and went on to be a part of a World Class Drum Corp. Krista is excited to expand her knowledge and passion of the activity to her students. She looks forward to bringing her skills and experience to Victor J. Andrew.
Bridget Brogan - Tech
Bridget began as a performer here at Andrew, she graduated in 2020, having participated in marching band and winter guard all four years. Now she spins with Independent Winter Guards and Marching Drum Corp. Outside of color guard, Bridget works part time in customer service and in child care. Bridget returned to Andrew to coach for the guard in 2022, and "I am very grateful to be able to teach and share my passion with my students!"
